With a festival ticket, you gain access to the full experience of the festival grounds.
The same ticket lets you enjoy both international and Finnish performers on the Tavern Yard stage, Viking battles, buhurt duels, the thrills of the war horse camp, extensive medieval markets, children’s games in Kakarainkylä, the daily life of historical camps, and even adorable encounters with farm animals.

Häme Medieval Festival takes place in the historic setting of Linnanpuisto Park and Linnanniemi Peninsula in Hämeenlinna.
The festival area is easily accessed through the main gate located at the intersection of Kustaa III Street and Niittykatu. The ticket sales and info point can be found immediately to the right of the entrance gate.
The festival welcomes around 30,000 visitors annually, so to ensure a smooth entry, we recommend purchasing your tickets in advance.
This way, you’ll save both time and money – and step straight into the magical medieval atmosphere.

Entrance and On-Site Services
Entry to the festival area is via the main gate on Niittykatu. Right after the gate, you’ll find the info point, costume rental, and the Medieval Shop, offering a selection of special items and festival gear.
There are plenty of portable toilets throughout the area, including accessible units for disabled visitors. Water stations are marked with a blue droplet symbol, where you can conveniently refill your own bottle for the day’s adventures.
